Canada Treats!
They’re were a few things I HAD to have while back in Toronto because they are amazingly tasty and close to the heart…or stomach. :P
The first was a Vendor Sausage. In New York you only get little hotdogs with soggy buns with only the choice of Mustard and Ketchup. Yukkkk! In Toronto, I got a nice big sausage topped with Ketchup, Mustard, Relish, Onions, Hot Peppers and Pickles on a warm toasted bun. You can also add sauerkraut, bacon bits and more. :)
The Second was Peameal on a bun. Peameal Bacon and Spicy Mustard on a toasted bun. A favouuuuurite Canadian Staple. I plan on finding a butcher in NYC to get me some real Canadian Bacon. I think my life would be complete! :)
I did dabble in some Ketchup and All Dressed chips too. :O
I <3 Tomatoes!!!!
I can’t believe how amazing, fresh and tasty the tomatoes are here in Canada. Definitely not as great as the tomatoes I get in Brooklyn…ANNNND they’re cheaper too!
About to use some of these in tonight’s Healthy Mexican Dish.
Currently trying not to drool on my keyboard right now :P
On vacation workout.
Level 1 of the 30 Day Shred and 30 minutes on my moms exercise bike while watching Jamie Olivers 30 minute meals. I sped up during the commercials to give myself a more intense workout.
Toronto Fun
Brewery, Skating, Drinks and Best Friends <3
Went to “Hey Lucy” downtown at King and John St and had the most amazing salad.
Flatiron Steak and Goat Cheese Salad/ with roasted red peppers, cucumber and red onion on organic greens with a balsamic reduction.
I tried to eat it slow but It was so good, before I knew it my plate was empty. :O
Feeling cute tonight! Out having dinner down at the Beaches. A Pint of Keiths and the Hockey Game is happening. Yep, I’m in Canada. :)
St. Lawrence Market
Tons of treats and goodies here. Plenty of free samples and the famous Peameal on a bun (Canadian Bacon). I grabbed some yummy goodies to bring back to NYC. If I ever moved back to Toronto, I would be here every weekend. :)
Back to Toronto…
I’m heading back to Toronto in 10 days. I’ll be there for a week and then Montreal for a few days. This time, I’ll HAVE TIME to enjoy it!
I know I have a good handful of Torontonian followers. Any healthy restaurant recommendations? Or some kind of fitness class or activity I can do?? :)
Edit* Also, if anyone is interested in having a Tumblr meet up, reply and let me know. It would be interesting to meet up and have a drinky drink somewhere downtown. ;)
Early Christmas (and a bday) Family Dinner
Tons of food, calories, fam and fun. I plan on working off all that food this upcoming week! :)
Day 1 continued…
CN Tower
I used to work at the CN Tower so I got the hook up ;)
I got my fun souvenir photo taken, rode up the elevator with the glass floor (black boots are mine), and enjoyed a yummy lunch and view of the city at Horizons.
Hello Toronto! Day 1
I was up at 7:30am. It’s now 10:30 and I have already done the following…
Photographed myself in a Canada sweatshirt. Yeah it’s backwards…

Grabbed my 14 year old sister and went for a run on the beach (as it’s snowing)…this is her attempt at running.

and then… a crazy god damn squirrel starting chasing us!!!!
…at that point, my sister started running! hahaha

This used to be my nike jacket when I was 16. It’s a large…a little too big :)

We jogged our way to Tim Hortons!!! :) Yay Timmy’s. 12 grain bagel with light cream cheese. Not the healthiest breakfast but I’m treating myself.

Got back to my moms, cleaned and decorated for the holidays. We are having an early Christmas Family dinner tonight since I’m visiting. :) Lamb is currently in the oven.

Now, off to the CN Tower for lunch and fun.
Bought myself a little motivation!
Oh and Happy Canada Day! :)
